Breedband Delft is a non-profit joint venture in the form of a foundation and a number of institutions and companies, which together have installed a fibre optic network. Thanks to this fibre optic network, the participants have a very fast, reliable and affordable connection between the different locations or to the Internet. West is one of the participants in Breedband Delft and also an active member of the board.
The aim of the non-profit organisation ICT-Kring Delft (or "the IKD") is to map and in particular to gather all the ICT-related knowledge and experience that exists in Delft. By organising a number of activities, companies are offered the opportunity to get to know each other better and in particular to learn more about each other's activities. This has enabled West to add a large number of business relations offering complementary knowledge to its network.
